This one's a looker, delightfully baby pink, and tastes amazing. It's a recipe which won our Rhubarb Old Tom cocktail competition we hosted in 2018. She really understood the flavour of the rose petals in our Rhubarb Old Tom, and came up with this delicious creamy cocktail.
60ml Orkney Gin Company Rhubarb Old Tom 20ml freshly squeezed orange juice 25ml double cream 5ml Grenadine 1 egg white
Shake together the above ingredients, add ice, and shake again. Strain into a chilled tall glass. Top up with Fentimans Rose Lemonade, garnish with some rose petals.
Yummy!

This is definitely one to pull out when you're... well, pulling out all the stops, without the hassle! It's classy, delicious, and so easy to make!
Get your fanciest champagne glasses, or a martini glass (or let's not worry too much about what it's in - it won't last long in the glass anyway!)
Measure 25ml of Rhubarb Old Tom
Add champagne or prosecco (as you would add tonic)
Drop in a few raspberries, they will look really lovely with little bubbles forming on them
That's it! Delicious! Get your dancing shoes on!
If you think you might quite like to make this even more special, try soaking some raspberries in Rhubarb Old Tom before adding, or pulp the raspberries and mix with Rhubarb Old Tom. This could also work with rhubarb jam too. You could also try adding some champagne or prosecco shimmer for a lovely sparkly look!

A zesty take on one of our favourites - Rhubarb Old Tom with Ginger Ale. Yum! Helgi's, based in Kirkwall, Orkney - a lovely viking inspired pub with tasty food, and a huge array of drinks created this simple, yet delicious cocktail.
You Will Need:
Fever Tree Ginger Ale
Lime Juice (half a lime will do)
A tiny touch of sugar syrup
This cocktail looks amazing served in a high ball glass with lots of ice.
Add Rhubarb Old Tom, lime juice and sugar syrup, pour ginger ale over and mix with stirrer. Garnish with lime, orange and mint. If you prefer your drinks less sweet, you can substitute the Ginger Ale with Soda Water.

We love all things rhubarb. This cocktail really brings out the tart rhubarb in our Rhubarb Old Tom, with a very special ingredient from Orkney Isles Preserves - their Rhubarb Old Tom Jam. We make sure we have their jam in our kitchen at all times, whether it is eaten on toast or in a delicious cocktail! (the cocktail is much more exciting!)
This recipe serves 4
You'll need to make a syrup for this one:
1 small cinnamon stick (or half a large one)
1 tsp coriander seeds
1/2 tsp pink peppercorns (optional)
5 tsp Rhubarb Old Tom Jam
1 tsp sugar
Cocktail:
200ml Rhubarb Old Tom
Lime Juice (1 lime or to taste)
Place a saucepan on heat and lightly toast cinnamon, coriander seeds and pink peppercorns until they begin to smell fragrant. Add sugar, jam and 55ml water. Dissolve all sugar and let it cook gently for 5 minutes. Pass through a fine sieve (remember it's hot!). Allow to cool.
When the syrup is cool, add lots of ice, 200ml Rhubarb Old Tom,1/2 lime juice, and the syrup into a cocktail shaker. Mix well and strain into a lovely ice filled glass. Add more lime juice to taste for a zingier flavour. Garnish with a cinnamon stick or a twist of rhubarb.
If you don't have the Rhubarb Old Tom Jam, a raspberry jam would also work.
